Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What should I bring to the conference?

A: A pen, paper, and a lunch or the ability to purchase it from one of the many fantastic locations nearby on campus!

Q: What’s the difference between Missions Week and the full-day conference?

A: Our Missions Week events occur Monday March 7th to Thursday March 10th. These events are free and a great event to invite friends to who are interested in tough life questions or Christianity! The full-day conference is Saturday, March 5th, which requires a ticket. This will include worship (opening and closing worship will be led by Paclife Worship), integrative workshops, and opportunities to converse and interact with other students. Students will be allocated to Saturday workshops based on registration during ticket sales. We want Comagape to be a place where attendees can create bonds beyond their usual circles. As we spend the day together, attendees will have countless opportunities for discussion, conversation, and connection.

Q: What will workshops be like?

A: We have brought in fantastic speakers for the conference who will each be giving a talk lasting around 30 minutes. The second half of the workshop is left for Question & Dialogue. Questions can be asked live or through Slido anonymously.

Q: Where can I find Comagape on social media?

A: You can find us on Facebook (Comagape Christian Conference) and Instagram (@comagapeubc)! Join us to be in the know with giveaways, workshop & speaker introductions, and event details. We also feature artwork from students at UBC!

Q: Who are giveaways open to?

A: They are open to anyone currently residing in Canada! If you live in the Greater Vancouver Area, we will try to coordinate a time to drop it off for you, or we will mail it.

Q: How many people will be coming to the conference?

A: The last time we were in person (in 2020), we had over 150 people at our conference, and 500 people total through our Missions Week events!

Q: Where can I buy my tickets for the Saturday Conference?

A: You're in the right place! Go to the home page here on our website and click the button that says "Tickets". It will take you to Eventbrite!

Q: How much is it to attend Missions Week events?

A: Missions Week events are totally separate from the conference, and totally free!

Q: What are the vaccination requirements for the Saturday Conference and Missions Week events?

A: In accordance with the current BC PHO, we require all participants to have received both doses of an approved Covid Vaccine. No booster shot is currently required.

Q: What measures is Comagape taking to ensure these events are safe during these times?

A: Comagape is prepared to take any precaution necessary to ensure the safety of our attendees as much as possible. Compared to our previous in-person conference, we have decided not to provide any food, as that is one area where the virus is easily transmitted. As well, we will be requiring all attendees to be masked at all times and to remain socially distanced. We will be following the AMS’s policies around room capacities and sanitization.
